Welcome to Sheikh Wahda ("Sheikh Wahda", "the Feature", "we", "us", or "our"), an AI-powered Islamic Knowledge Tool available through the Wahda website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use Sheikh Wahda during its pre-launch trial period.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Sheikh Wahda, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the Feature.
2 What Sheikh Wahda Is
Sheikh Wahda is an AI-powered Islamic Knowledge Tool that lets you ask questions on a wide range of topics and receive responses from an Islamic perspective. It is designed to give informative, non-biased answers aligned with Islamic values and teachings drawn from the Quran, Hadith, and Islamic literature.
Sheikh Wahda's responses are generated by an AI model and are intended for general guidance and informational purposes. They are not a substitute for consulting a qualified scholar for personal religious rulings (fatwa).
3 Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information depending on how you interact with Sheikh Wahda.
3.1 Account Information
- Name - to identify your account
- Email address - for account verification and communications
- Phone number - for account-related contact
- Gender - to understand user demographics and improve features
- Country/Region - for regional analytics and compliance purposes
3.2 Usage Information
- Conversation history and prompts - the questions you ask Sheikh Wahda and the responses it provides
- Usage and activity data - such as session frequency, feature interactions, and prompt volume
- IP-based guest usage data - a server-side IP hash used to enforce guest prompt limits during the trial period

5 Third-Party AI Processing
Sheikh Wahda currently uses an underlying AI language model to generate responses. When you submit a prompt, it may be processed by this third-party AI service in order to generate an answer for you. Third-party AI services we use are only permitted to process your prompts to help deliver Sheikh Wahda responses and are not permitted to use your data for their own independent purposes.
6 Conversation History & Account Data
If you are logged in, your conversation history with Sheikh Wahda is saved to your account so you can look back on past conversations. If you are not logged in, your conversation may not be retained beyond your active session, although server-side usage data may be retained where needed to enforce trial limits and maintain service integrity.
7 Trial Period Usage
During the pre-launch website trial, your use of Sheikh Wahda is subject to prompt limits, and access to the Feature may be modified, limited, or revoked at any time. Any usage data collected during this period helps us understand how the Feature is used and prepare it for full launch.
8 Third-Party Data Processors
To operate Sheikh Wahda, we engage trusted third-party service providers, including AI processing, infrastructure and database hosting, authentication and security services, and analytics. All third-party processors are bound to process your personal data only as instructed by us, solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and are required to implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures.
9 Data Retention
We retain your personal data, including your conversation history, for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or for as long as your account remains active. If you would like your conversation history deleted, contact us using the details in Section 12.
10 Data Security & International Transfers
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Your data, including prompts processed by third-party AI services, may be stored and processed by our service providers in data centers located outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
